The Brief
5th Utility are an IT Services company which was started last year by 3 highly experienced directors that had been working on huge corporate IT projects for years. Their services are high value and they wanted a stand out brand that reflected that.
We built them a brand style in a deep purple along with dramatic imagery to emphasise the point that they specialised in providing connectivity solutions even in the most remote places.
Built to cater for a multi-channel marketing strategy
Although the company is in the very early stages, we wanted to provide a scalable website that could grow with the company.
They already operate with a multi-channel marketing strategy to some degree: they contact potential customers over the phone and direct traffic to their website that way, as well as through their personal social media accounts and, a recent addition, via the search engines.
For that reason, we wanted to have a core website which explained the different services they offer, and we also created templates to allow us to create focused landing pages for use with their ongoing SEO & PPC campaigns.
The Result
We opted for dramatic imagery as both us and the client agreed that the typical IT company photography of wires and computer systems wasn’t exactly appealing, we were more interested in selling the benefits of the service rather than the technical side.
As well as the dramatic imagery, we produced mockups in both the deep purple that finally became their brand and a le mans style blue. The purple jumped out a lot more and so we decided to go with that.
The idea was to keep the messaging as succinct as possible, making it easy for the customer to understand the value that 5u provide — stress free IT solutions that will help the customer operate more efficiently.
“Imaginaire have been a hugely important part of our new business, they’ve advised us from the start on how to market ourselves and helped us create powerful messaging for our website that helps it serve both cold prospects that have found us as well as warm prospects that we’ve directed to it. We couldn’t recommend them highly enough.”
