Costs: Klarna doesn’t openly state their fees on their website, although other sources state the fees are 2.95% per purchase plus an additional charge of 20p per transaction. 

With over 426 million users, PayPal is one of the most recognisable names in the payment solutions industry. 

Ideal for small businesses and large enterprises, PayPal offers something for every business model and is also widely accepted across the globe. 

Along with endless integrations, PayPal is well known for its excellent customer support and fraud prevention tools. 

Costs: PayPal fees are complex to summarise because of the vast range of markets served. However,

Stripe offers multiple services for businesses wanting to accept payments, including the ability to share a payment link or QR code. 

While larger ecommerce businesses use Stripe, there are plenty of options for smaller Shopify startups due to the vast range of customisable features.

However, merchants do praise the ability to sell in over 30 languages and 130 currencies. 

Costs: Fees for Stripe range from 1.5% + 20p for standard UK cards to 3.5% + 20p for international cards (outside of the EU). 

Worldpay is classed as a merchant acquirer which can result in lower transaction fees and an overall simplified process. 

Offering over 100 integrations, Worldpay offers a lot of flexibility for connecting not just with your ecommerce store, but also other CRM tools you need to run your business. 

Funds are also transferred within 30 minutes, making Worldpay ideal for ecommerce businesses needing rapid access to their capital. 

Costs: Transaction fees for Worldpay range between 0.75% and 2.75% depending on whether customers use credit or debit cards, and whether you opt to pay monthly or pay as you go.
